WHAT IS THIS?

Exploding kittens card game created by Elan Lee (XBOX), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (XBOX, Marvel).

The game is essentially Russian Roulette; you draw cards until you draw a kitten, at which point you lose. All the other cards can be used to defend, attack, skip your turn, or defuse the kitten using various action cards. We're running a Kickstarter from January 20th to February 19th. Back the project to get a copy of the game and help us unleash an army of combustive felines upon the earth.

THE GAME

The gameplay of exploding kittens is particularly unique, because the longer you play, the funner it gets. As you draw cards, fewer and fewer cards remain, which means the chances of getting an exploding kitten grows higher. It blends the perfect balance of strategy, luck, and player-to-player interaction.

The game mechanics were designed and created by two seasoned game designers: Elan Lee and Shane Small, and the cards were written and illustrated by The Oatmeal.

FAQ

• How many players does the game support?

  Right now, 2-4. If you want to play with more you'll need to buy a second deck, which can accommodate up to 8 players.

• What's the age range?

  7 and up, and despite being illustrated by The Oatmeal, the cards are safe-for-work and kid-friendly.

• How long does it take to learn and play?
  

  Learning only takes a minute or two. When you play, each round lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. It's an easy game to jump into and play for a few minutes without a steep learning curve or time investment. It's a great party game.

• What's included with the game?

  A 56 card deck of Exploding Kitten cards, box, instructions, cheat sheet, and a yet-to-be-revealed-thing-of-incredible-wonder-and-delight.

• Can I buy just the NSFW version?

  No, it doesn't contain the base cards which you'll need to play a proper game.

• Do you offer International shipping?

  Yes. You can find the prices for shipping anywhere in the world by selecting your reward level and choosing your location in the drop-down menu.

• Can I buy a NSFW deck AND a regular Exploding Kittens Deck?

  Yes. You should know that the NSFW reward level includes a regular Exploding Kittens Deck, but if you'd like to order extra regular decks, just add $20 to your NSFW pledge for every additional regular deck you'd like. (extra shipping charges may apply)
